Williams age 94, passed away peacefully on Monday (August 22, 2022) at her home. It was her desire to pass away at home and in no pain, and her wishes were fulfilled. She was born on May 2, 1928 in Olean, NY the daughter of Hazen O. Carpenter and Ellen M. Whitney Carpenter. She was retired from Motorola Corp. in Arcade, NY. Dorothy had also worked for Acme Electric in Cuba, and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #414 of Angelica, was the past president and vice president of the 8th district, and was a member of the Angelica United Methodist Church. She also loved country music, dancing, and cats and, still had one named Cody. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband the love of her life Raymond D. Williams on January 18, 2005, whom she married in 1967, her infant daughter Jacqueline Marie Palmer, her brother Thomas Carpenter, her 2 sisters Louise Spiers, and Lois Hackett. She is survived by 2 nieces, and 2 nephews and her church family. A private graveside service was held at the Until the Day Dawn Cemetery in Angelica, where she will be buried next to Raymond. To send a remembrance please visit www.brownandpowersfuneralhomes.com or on Facebook @brownpowersfh, the family is being assisted by director Chester A.
