Dorothy V. Vosburg,80, of
239 North Main Street,passed away Friday (July 16,2004) at her home.
Born in , PA, September 18, 1923, the daughter of Jay andAlice Newman Bacon, she had resided in Hornell most of her life. Shehad been employed as a waitress for several Hornell area restaurants, andassisted her husband in the operation of the former Midtown Grill inHornell. She was a member of the Hornell Association, and the ladiesauxiliary of the Hornell Moose Lodge, the Hornell VFW and the Arkport American Legion.
Violet was predeceased by her sisters, Lillian Nicholsand Betty Kind as well as her 4 brothers, Charles, Donald, Ted, and Fred Bacon.
She is survived by herhusband, Raymond Vosburg whom she married on Sept. 23, 1947
one daughter: Lois (Tim) Dinehart of Hemlock
two sons: Raymond (Barbara) Vosburg of Hornell and Stephen Vosburg of Hornell
three sisters: Lois Kame of Hornell, Velma Gariepyof Fla andBonnie Miller of Oklahoma
three brothers: Ray Bacon, of Hartsville, Clark Bacon and William Bacon both of PA.
