Dorothy I. Bartoo, 93, formerly of Church St., passed away Wednesday (February 3, 2016) at the Hornell Gardens surrounded by her family.
Born in Hornell, October 27, 1922, the daughter of Fred and Mary Gavitt Babcock, she had resided in the Hornell area all her life. Dorothy loved baking, arts and craft, and was a loving family woman
In addition to her parent's she was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Bartoo, three daughters, Doris Bartoo, Betty Lowe, and Delores Holbrook, one grandson, Marvin Hovey Jr., two brothers, Clinton and James Babcock, one sister, Bernice Foster.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Dona Drake of Hornell, 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, 2 brothers, Carl Babcock of Nunda and Leon Babcock of Hornell, several nieces and nephews.
