Doris G. Hillman ,loving wife, mother and grandmother



Doris G. Hillman of90 Railroad Avenue, Angelica, and the Wellsville Manor, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2006,at Strong Memorial Hospitalin Rochester.



She wasborn on December 29, 1926,in Wellsville, New York, the daughter of Ransom and VeraMillen Graham and the sister of Ransom E. Graham Jr. On April 28, 1946, she married Archie L. Hillman at the Caneadea Methodist Churchin Caneadea,New York.



A graduate of Belfast Central School, she worked forten years at the Perry Knitting Mill in Fillmore and served as an electioninspector in Belfastfor twenty years. She was also a fieldworker in Allegany County for the 1980census. After relocating to Sarasota, Floridain 1985, she was an office worker at Country Club Estates in Venice and was later employed as a payrollsupervisor in Sarasota County during the 1990census.



She and herhusband were active members of the Belfast Area Betterment Association for manyyears. She especially enjoyed providingfood-laden family gatherings on all holidays and family birthdays. Her hobbies included playing the organ,knitting, playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles and lavishing attention on herpets.



Survivingare her husband Archie of Angelica; her children Susan (Daniel) Dempsey ofWhitesville, Patricia (Robert) Miller of Angelica and Michael (Eva) Hillman ofBelfast; her grandchildren Rebecca Hillman, Michelle Hillman, Ryan Dempsey andMichael Miller; two nieces, three nephews and several cousins.



A memorialservice will be held at the Belfast United Methodist Church on Saturday,November 11th at 1:00 PMwith the Rev. Keith Manry officiating. Interment at the Riverside Cemeteryin Belfast willbe held at the convenience of the family.Memorials made to the American Diabetes Association, the American KidneyFoundation or the Allegany County SPCAwould be appreciated by the family.
