Doris E. Heuring, 59, of
2995 Drake Hill Road, passed awayunexpectedly Monday (November27, 2006) as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident inthe Town of Jasper.
Born in Rochester,September 12, 1947,the daughter of Alfred E.and Edna Ras, she had resided in Rochester her early life, and moved to Jasperin 1977. At the time of her death, she was employed as a Medical Records Clerkfor Steuben County Department of Community Service in Corning. Doris was well known for her knitting,especially the mittens she made each year for the kindergarten studentsand hats for newborn children. She will however, be most remembered for unselfishly giving to not only her family but any person shecame in contact with. She was always there for anyone in need.
She is survived by her husband, William Heuring of Jasper,to whom she was married 39 years, her daughter, Barbara (Scott) Hyman ofJasper, her son William Heuring Jr. of Jasper and her 2 grandchildren, Elizabethand Tyler Hyman of Jasper.
The family will be presentto receive friends on Saturday from 3PM until 6PMat the Brown & Powers Funeral Home,
6 Spruce St., Canisteo where a memorialservices will be held following visitationat 6:00 PM. Rev. Todd Mitchell will officiate.
