Doris M Dorsey 93, of 44 North Street, passed away peacefully Tuesday (July 19, 2011) at her home.
Born in Angelica, July 30, 1917, the daughter of Harry Lytle and Lila Adell (Stafford) Bullock, she was a lifelong area resident. Doris graduated from the former Wilsonian School "Class of 1936", and later the Roberts School of Beauty in Rochester in July 1937. She owned and operated her own beauty shop at 44 Mechanic Street, and had worked for Angelica Central School. On July 2, 1938 she married Harold E. Dorsey and was predeceased by him on April 1, 1993.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband, and brother Glenn Bullock.
She is survived by a son Dennis (Catherine) Dorsey of Angelica, a daughter Kathleen (Art) Williams of Florida, a sister Gladys Fox, 3 grandchildren Robin Miller of Hornell, Starr (Todd) Masten of Belmont, Tracy King of Angelica, and 6 great grandchildren.
There will be a private graveside held at Until the Day Dawn Cemetery.
