DonLuray G. Gleason, 55, of County Road 48, passed away Wednesday (August 13, 2025) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Born in Dade City Florida, March 6, 1970, he was the son of Herbert and Margaret Collmer Gleason and had resided in the Belmont area since the 1970’s. Don was employed as a Home Health Aide for Venture Forthe for the past several years. He was a member of the Belmont Fire Company and the Amity Rescue Squad.
He was predeceased by his parents.
Surviving are his sons, Dustin (Hailey Herring) Gleason of Belmont, and Wyatt Gleason of Belmont, his sisters, Arlene (Benjamin) McCaslin of Belmont and Robbin Gleason of Wellsville, one granddaughter Kimber Gleason, his significant other, Billie Bushaw and her son Danny. Don was a father figure to 6 other children and loved them as his own. He is also survived by his nephew Chad (Amanda Ordway) McCaslin, a niece Rachel McCaslin and his great niece and nephew, Rylee Ordway McCaslin, and Henry Ordway McCaslin of Belmont.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday (August 23, 2025) starting at 12:00PM at the Belmont Fire Department, 80 Schuyler Street in Belmont, NY. Come and celebrate Don’s life and bring a story or even your favorite drink to share with his family.
