Donald H McKee, 81,formerly of
East Academy Street,died Tuesday (January 13,2004) at the Bath VAMC.Born in Grover, PA, June 14, 1922, the son of Charles H and Florence Baltzer McKee, he had resided in Canisteo most of his life. Don served our country inthe US Army during World War II from 1942-45. On August 6, 1945 he married the former LoisBeattie McKee who predeceased him in November of 2002. Don had worked for the Erie Railroad,Conrail as well as General Electric and NewEngland Ice and Oil. He was a member of the Morning Star Lodge #65 F & AMof Canisteo, as well as a member of the First Baptist Church, and the CanisteoAmerican Legion Post #846. Don was an avid gardener, and enjoyed hunting andfishing, and was also a coach for the Canisteo Little League for many years.
Don was predeceased by his wife Lois, 4 sisters Grace Porter, Beatrice Shepard,Margaret Smith, Doris Johnson and 2 brothers Roger McKee, and Joseph McKee.

The family will be present to receive friends from 4-7pmFriday, with a Masonic service at 6:45pm,and the funeral service to follow at 7:00pmat the Brown & Powers Funeral Home 6 Spruce St. Canisteo. with Rev. Curtis Corkeyofficiating. Burial will be at the Bath National Cemetery.
