Donald E. Petteys Jr., 63, of Hornell, NY, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, NY.

He was born on November 15, 1960 at Bethesda Hospital in Hornell, NY to Donald E. Petteys Sr. and Wilma E. Petteys. Donald was raised in South Hornell and attended Canisteo Central School. He was employed as a dairy farm worker at Lismore Dairy located in Arkport, NY, owned and operated by the Merry family.

Donald was predeceased by his father Donald E. Petteys Sr., and his stepfather, Duane C. Bowen.

He is survived by his son, Donald E. Petteys III of Hornell, NY; his daughter, Nina M. Petteys of Bismarck, ND; his mother, Wilma E. Petteys Bowen of Hornell, NY; his sister, Deborah S. Petteys Smith of Arkport, NY; his brother Douglas E. Petteys Sr. of Hornell, NY.; his nephews, Douglas E. (Alyssa) Petteys Jr. of Hornell, NY; Andrew M. (Ashley) Petteys of Concord, NC; Benjamin E. Petteys of Hornell, NY; his great-nieces, Adaleigh Petteys, Everleigh Petteys and Dahlia Petteys.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St., Hornell, NY, Sunday, September 29, 2024 from 2:00 until 4:00pm, whereafter funeral services will follow. Burial will be held the following day, Monday, September 30, 2024 at 11:00am, at Canaseraga Cemetery in Canaseraga, NY.
