Donald E. Flaitz, 78, of
1140 Airport Rd,passed away suddenly Friday (June22, 2007) at his farm in South Dansville
Born in North Hornell on July 18, 1928, a son of Leonand Lena Saxton Flaitz, Don was a life long residentof the Hornell area.
On March9, 1948 he married his wife of 59 years, Alice Glover who survives.
Don was in the auto parts business for more than forty yearsand was proprietor of Flaitz Auto Parts, Rt. 21 inHornell.
Don will always be remembered for his great love of hisfamily, home and farm.
He was predeceased by a son, Michael Flaitzin 1996, two sisters, Geraldine McLane, and KatherineHouse, and a brother Samuel Flaitz.
He is survived by his wife Alice, one daughter: Karen Flaitz , a son, Jeff Flaitz bothof Bath, fourbrothers: George ( Dorothy) Flaitz, Richard ( Delores ) Flaitz,Jacob ( Mary ) Flaitz, and Robert ( Donna ) Flaitz all of Hornell.
2 Grand children: Jamie ( Vicki ) Flaitzand Laurie ( Mathew ) Briggs all of South Dansville,several nieces, nephews and cousins.
2 Great Grandchildren: Abbigailand Benjamin Briggs of South Dansville.
