Donald A. Doster, 82, of Hornell St., passed away Saturday (May 15, 2010) at the Seager-Bates Home in Hornell.
Born in Buffalo, November 21, 1927, the son of Albert and Edna (Warning) Doster, he had resided in Hornell most of his life. Donald was a graduate of Alfred University and worked as an accountant for the Doster-Monahan Accountants. He was the Treasurer for the Hornell Library and the former treasurer for the former St. Paul's Church of Hornell, and Fortnightly. Don was active in the founding of the Finger Lakes Hiking Trail and was a member of the National Campers and Hikers Association as well as the Almond Union of Churches.
He was predeceased by his parents.
He is survived by wife, Karyl (Schreck) Doster whom he married on May 28, 1977, two brothers, Howard (Wini) Doster of Gansevort and Harold (Helen) Doster of Ontario, one sister, Erna Hawk of Dansville, several nieces and nephews.
