Dolores M. Turner, 84, formerly of NewYork, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday (April 18, 2018) at her home in Asheboro, North Carolina.
Born in Hornell, December 6, 1933, the daughter of Bert and Fannie Doster Sanford, she had resided in the Canisteo area for most of her life. She retired in Florida where she was employed as a supervisor for the Clay Today Newspaper in Orange Park.
She was predeceased by her parents, her daughter; Lorraine Turner, her son; Glee "Butch" Turner, her sisters; Connie Foxwell, Edna Randall and Barbara Cornell, her brothers; John, Fred, George, William and James "Pete" Sanford.
She is survived by her daughter; Cheryl (Tony) Williams of North Carolina, her son; Charles "Cub" Turner, her sister; Carol (Larry) Dininny of Indiana, and her brother; Max Sanford of Canisteo, her grandchildren; Ryan, Andy and Nicole Turner and Cheyenne Williams, her great grand daughters; Lillyanna Grace and Ainsley Mae Turner; a host of nieces, nephews and many friends all of whom she dearly loved.

The family will be present to receive friends on Sunday (April 22, 2018)from Noon until 2 PM at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce Street in Canisteo where funeral services will follow calling hours at 2 PM. Dolores' son-in-law Rev. Tony Williams will officiate at the services. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Canisteo.
