Diane L Stephens, 54, 102 Maple Apartments, passed awayFriday morning after a lengthy illness at Robert Packer Hospital.
Diane was born January 22, 1953 in CopaigueLong Island, New York. The family moved to Alfred Station in 1956 and she livedin this area most of her life. She graduated from Andover Central School. She graduatedfrom Alfred State College with a degree in Animal Husbandry. Diane worked forA.C.E. S. at Alfred State College approximately 11 years. She moved to Texas for several yearsand then returned to Alfred. She has been disabled for several years due tocomplications from diabetes. Diane was predeceased in life by her parentsConner and Lyla Stephens and her brother Timothy.
She is survived by her brother Jeff and his wife Lois ofAlfred Station, her sister Susan and husband Steve of Sarasota Florida, and hersister Nancy and her husband Robert McCabe of Rochesterand several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service is scheduledfor Tuesday (June 26, 2007)at 2:00pm at the AlmondUnion of Churches 11 Main St Almond.
Contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Assoc.,or the Alfred Fire Department.
