David G. Thurston, 53, of Maple St., passed away Tuesday (January 26, 2016) unexpectedly at his home.
Born in Cuba, NY April 26, 1962, the son of Ronald Thurston and Sandra Hasard Mehlenbacher, he had resided in Hornell for many years. David was a graduate of the former Belmont Central School and had been employed at the Crowley Dairy in Arkport. He loved fishing, hunting, being outdoors, but most of all his family was everything.
He was predeceased by his parents and god son, Robert Livergood.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Thurston of Hornell, two sons, Zackery and Nathan Thurston both of Hornell, three daughters, Breannah (Cory Perkins) Thurston of Hornell, Savannah (Kristy) Rawleigh of Wayland and Barbara (Daniel) Gardner of Amsterdam, two grandchildren , Alexa Perkins and Johannah Gardner, god children, Dana (Casey Wheeler) Rawleigh of Cohocton, Katie (Jake) Herbert of N. Syracuse, Justin Livergood of Belmont, Cody Livergood of Okeechobee FL, Step-Mother, Janet Thurston of Wellsville, Step-Father, David Mehlenbacher of Belmont.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday (Feb. 7, 2016) at 2PM at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St. Hornell, NY 14843 with Charles Robords officiating.
