David Masterson age 69 of Webster Street, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on Monday (June 30, 2025) at his home that he shared with his sister and brother in law Donna and Rex Depew and niece Rachel for 37 years.
He was born in Hornell, NY on August 20, 1955 the son of Donald Masterson and Gloria Pulkowsky Masterson. He enlisted in the US Navy out of High School and served at Pearl Harbor and was recognized for his service during part of the Cold War era. David was retired from Elderwood in North Hornell in 2000, and after retirement he cleaned the VFW and Southside. He was a member of the Hornell VFW and Hornell Association, and loved the Dodgers and Rams, and was very involved with the Gloria Masterson pool tournaments.
He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Richard, Daniel, and Robert Masterson.
He is survived by his children Regina Masterson of Hornell, and Shannon Masteron of Honeoye, sisters Bernice Ann (Jeff) Mulhollen, Donna (Rex) Depew, 4 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 3 great grandsons, his 60/40 brutha Matt Testani, his niece Rachel Depew, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
At David’s request, no services will be held, and burial will be at Bath National Cemetery.
