David Arthur Horey 32, of

3461 PIERCE ROAD,died unexpectedly Saturday morning (April 7, 2007) at his mother's home in Canisteo.



Born in Rochester, May 31, 1974, David was the son ofPatricia Strobel andDr.Stoner Horey whosurvive.,



David lived most of his life in the Canisteo Valleyand was active in scouting, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. A Graduate ofCanisteo Central School Class of 1992, David attended the University of Buffaloand Alfred State College.



David was employed by several local companies in computerrelated positions.



David will be remembered for his many musical talents, bothvocal and playing many stringed instruments, his love of team trivia and hisalways ready smile. In spite of hisheight, David never looked down on anyone.David is loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.



David is survived by his mother, Patricia A. Strobel of Canisteo, His Father, Stoner E. Horey, M.D. of Canisteo, his brother Christopher ( Kate ) Horey of Trumansburg, his Sister Catherine ( Omar) Abida of Watervliet and numerousaunts, uncles , cousins, nieces and nephews.



Arrangements are with the Brown & Powers Funeral Home 6Spruce St Canisteo. A private funeral service will be held at the convenienceof the family, burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.



Those wishing to remember David may make a memorialcontribution to the Five Rivers Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
