Darlene (Dar) Schurr
Loving Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Aunt and Friend. Went to be with our Lord and Savior on July 11, 2025 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Darlene was born on January 3, 1960 in Hornell NY to Arthur L. & Aletha E. Tyler Jr.
Darlene attended Friendship Central School. During her high school career Darlene met and fell in love with her soul mate Kenneth Schurr. Although life took them down different paths, their paths intertwined again and they were reunited and married on July 7, 2019.
Darlene enjoyed various hobbies, from sewing, scrapbooking, and bird watching with her late husband. They also loved watching her flowers bloom. Her favorite way to spend time was with her family and friends that she loved immensely.
Darlene worked in various fields throughout her life. This allowed her to meet and form special bonds with a lot of people. Some prominent ones were home health aid, waitressing at the Belmont truck stop, Strezlec Dairies, and Cuba Lake Gas and Smoke Shop from which she retired.
Darlene is survived by her three children. Gail Babbitt of Wellsville, Bradley Bliven of Friendship, Nikki (Josh) Hint of Friendship. Eleven Grandchildren that she adored, Camron Blouvet, Conner Blouvet, Andrea Hint, Huntar Hint, Alivia Hint, Jenna Hint, Owen Hint , Zander Babbitt, Zakkary Babbitt, Megan Babbitt and Gabriel Babbitt. Two Great Grandchildren, Journey Morehouse and Remi Morehouse. Nine Brothers, Kenneth (Darlene) Tyler (Friendship), Dale Tyler (Friendship), Max (Linda) Tyler (Cuba), Don Tyler (Belmont), William (Bill) Howard ( Wellsville), Kevin Tyler (Wellsville), Randy Tyler (Friendship), Jay (Patricia) Tyler (Wellsville), Mark (Melissa) Tyler (Tennessee) . Four sisters, Terry Levee (Canaseraga), Lori (Morris) Washburn (Tennessee), Valerie (Darryl) McCrary (Tennessee) and Sheila (Jonathan) Gates (Tennessee). Along with Several Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her Mother, Aletha E Tyler, Father, Arthur L Tyler Jr.
Her loving husband and soul mate Kenneth Schurr.
Three Brothers, Glen James Tyler, Alan Lawerence Tyler, Arthur L. Tyler III, Two Sisters, Becky Tyler, Stacy(Jason) Birchard one granddaughter Karlie Hint and a niece Kristin Tyler.
Calling hours for Darlene’s Family and Friends will be held Friday, July 18, 2025 12:00 - 2:00 pm. Funeral and Graveside burial immediately following. Brown and Powers Funeral Home
