Danny C. McDaniel, 60, of St. Rt. 36 passed away Sunday (March 22, 2009) at the VAMCin Bath,
Born in Hornell, April 12, 1948, the son of William and Gertrude ( Griffin) McDaniel, he hadresided in the Hornell area all of his life. Danny served in the United StatesMarine Corps from 1968 until 1969 serving in Vietnam . He had been employed as atruck driver for 25 years for Crowley Foods. Danny was an avid bowler, golferand enjoyed NASCAR.
He was predeceased by his parents as well as an infant son,two brothers Lyle and Richard McDaniel.
He is survived by his wife Cheryl (Studley)McDaniel whom he married November 26, 1968, two daughters; Lee (James) Georgeof Almond and Danielle (Dave) Bossard of Almond, fourbrothers, Larry (Marge) McDaniel of Arkport, Thomas (Kathleen) McDaniel ofDansville, Ronald (Terry) McDaniel of Canisteo and Wayne McDaniel ofBinghamton, One Half-Brother, Everett (Cathy) McDaniel of Utica, OneStep-Brother, Thomas Eason of Greenwood, Two sisters; Patricia (Vincent) Kame of Owego and Bonnie ( Ted) Jenkins of Rochester, OneStep-Sister, Ruth (Michael) Harrington of N.C. One Aunt, Ruth McMichael of Almond, five grandchildren, several cousins,nieces and nephews.
