• Daniel Green Sr. 90, of Brooksville/ FL formerly of Angelica NY, passed away Tuesday May 1, 2018 at Sturgill Hospice House in Brooksville.
Born June 18, 1927 in Castile, NY the son of Danniel P and Lena P Spencer Green.
On May 13,1955 in Millport, PA he married Dorothy Keiser who survives.
Dan grew up in the Richburg, NY and Shinglehouse PA area. He worked in the local oil fields as a young man. He retired from NYS DOT as a foreman in 1980. Dan proudly served his county During WWll 1944-1947 in the US NAVY serving on the ships USS Boxer (CV 21) and the USS PETREL (ASR-14). During the Korean Conflict he served in the US ARMY as a Military Police MP. He earned several ribbons/metals during his service.
He was pre deceased by his parents, 5 brothers, 1 sister and a son in Law Robert Dowd Sr.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy, son Dan Jr (Robin) and Daughter Betty (Dean) Selbe all of Brooksville, FL 1 Granddaughter Jacqueline Green, 4 Grandson's Robert Dowd Jr.(Toni), Daniel Green III Active duty US AIR FORCE, Michael (Lisa) Dowd, Christopher (Hannah) Green Active Duty US Navy. 8 Great Grandkids. Gino, Aidan, Raelea, Brayden, Jackson, Emma, Noah, and Caroline. Also several nieces and nephews.
Burial was in Until the Day Dawn Cemetery Angelica, NY.
