View Tribute Book Daniel R Guthrie Age: 68 Hornell, NY Daniel R Guthrie went to be with the Lord on Friday, 11/3/23, at Strong Memorial Hospital with his wife and 9 children at his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Hornell on October 24, 1955 to Bertha and Thomas Guthrie. He was married on September 16,1978 to Patricia L (Whiteman) Guthrie. He worked for National Fuel Gas for 38 years and retired as a serviceman. He is survived by his wife Patricia Guthrie and his children Rachel (Jake) Gauss, Dan S Guthrie, Thomas (Emily) Guthrie, Joel (Loretta) Guthrie, Jason (Grace) Guthrie, Abbey (Jon) Phelps, Issac (Lauren) Guthrie, Jed (Rachel) Guthrie, Jesse ( Joanna) Guthrie; 13 Grandchildren; Cordelia, Lavinia, Audrey,Tommy, Walter, Violet, Molly, Marigold, Wesley, Manley, Lyda, Marion, and Gresham. He is also survived by his brothers John Guthrie, Bill (Lyla) Guthrie and his sister Joyce (Steve) Strasburg. He loved playing with his grandchildren, helping his children build or repair their homes, camping, telling stories, and helping anyone in need. He was a caring and devoted husband, excellent Father, a super Grandfather, and brought the joy of the Lord to all who knew him. Calling hours will be held at the River of Grace Ministries 81 Elm St Hornell, NY 14843 on Thursday 11/9 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and on Friday 11/10 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM with the funeral immediately following.
