Dahl “Chico” Flynn Sr age 80, passed away peacefully on Monday (September 2, 2024) at his home surrounded by family at his home on Canisteo Street.
He was born in Hornell, NY on June 5, 1944 the son of John Flynn and Marjorie Peck Flynn, and was a lifelong area resident. Chico was retired from Andy Butler & Son Construction.
He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Susan Flynn, sisters Dolores Suriani, Arlinda Negron, Naomi Hurlburt, Juanita Harrington, brothers Ramon Masterson, Donald Masterson, Raoul Masterson, Ernest Myers, Terry Myers, and Patrick Moore.
He is survived by his 4 sons Dahl Flynn Jr. of Florida, William (Denise) Brizzee of Canisteo, Shawn Michael (Michele) Brizzee of Hornell, Kale Flynn of Hornell, 5 daughters Tina Ames of Niagara Falls, NY, Shawn Marie (Paul) Smith of Addison, Heidi (DeWayne) Ramsey of North Carolina, Christina Dennis of Hornell, Cassondra (Ted) Clark of Canisteo, his brother Ricky (Sandra) Myers of Hartsville, his sister Barbara Ann Payne of California, several grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
The family will be present on Thursday (September 5, 2024) from 11am-1:00pm at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home in Hornell. A Graveside Service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at Woodlawn Cemetery in Canisteo.
