Cynthia A. Brown, 77, formerly of Sawyer Street Site, passed away Monday (November 5, 2018) at the Hornell Gardens.
Born in Canisteo, July 7, 1941, the daughter of Benjamin and Marian Allen Jamison, she had resided in Canisteo and Hornell her entire life except for about seven years when she resided in Texas.
She was a graduate of Canisteo Central School, Class of 1959. Cindy was a member of the Hornell Moose Lodge, a Life Member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Hornell VFW, and especially enjoyed reading.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husbands; James Dennis in 1980 and Earl Brown in 1996, an infant daughter, an infant son Andrew and her siblings; Jean Pires, Doris Doty, Benjamin (Skip) Jamison, Jane Jamison, Patricia Jamison , Richard Jamison, Marguerite "Peggy" Krom, Sandra Reitnauer and Audrey "Corky" Mayo.
She is survived by five daughters; Patricia George, Penelope Flint and Diane (Tim) Griffith all of Hornell, Dawn(Tom) Jansch of Wayland, and Jodi (Dave) DeCarlo of Avon, Four sons; Thomas, Timothy, James, and Jeffery Dennis all of Hornell, Two sisters; Janet (Bernard) Coates of Pennsylvania and Sally Stutsman of Texas, two brothers; Joseph (Euclida) Jamison of Horseheads and D. Michael (Georgia) Jamison, 17 Grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

The family will be present on Friday, November 16, 2018, to receive friends at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell from 11 AM until 1 PM where Funeral services will be held following calling hours at 1:00 PM, Rev. Dudley Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Bennett's Creek Cemetery.
