Cynthia Ann Hunter, 76, a resident of County Route 46 in Dansville, passed away Thursday (July 30, 2026) at Teresa House in Geneseo.

Born in Williamsport, PA., May 1, 1950, she was the daughter of Robert and Sherry Peard Harer. Cynthia was a devoted wife, mother and family member. She loved to cook and share stories of family times together. She and her husband were a perfect match sharing many if the same interests including Eastern Star and boy scouts. She embraced being a member of the Hunter Clan attending clan events in Scotland and Canada

She was predeceased by her parents and her husband Melville Hunter.

She is survived by her daughter Crystal (Josh) Secor of Dansville, her sisters, Crystal (Larry) Lowe of Florida, and Elizabeth (Daniel) Folk of PA., her brother John Harer and 2 grandchildren, Feonna Secor and Gauge Secor.

There will be no calling hours. Burial services will be held at Mt. Morris Cemetery, August 15th, 2026 at 6p.m.
