Clyde N. "Bud" Wood, 77, of
4555 Purdy Creek Road,Town of Hartsville, passed away Saturday (May 29, 2004) at the Wellsville Manor.
Born in Wellsville, October 9, 1926, the son of Maylon andBernice Behrens Wood,he had resided most of his adult life inHartsville. At an early age, he wastaken by his aunt and uncle, Charles and Dora Wood, who raised him as theirson.
Bud was a graduate of Canisteo Central School, Class of 1945,and served his country in the US Army during WW-2. He hadbeen employed in Auto Body repair for several years, and later as a welder atthe Air Preheater in Wellsville. He became a licensed real estate salesman andwas employed at the former Canisteo Valley Realty in Canisteo. Later, he andhis wife, established Wood's Realty, which they operated for several years. He was a member of the Hartsville Community Baptist Church.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Jane Conner Wood to whom hewould have been married 56 years on June 5th, 2004,
His loving children; Debbie (Steve)Zeltwanger of Hornell, and Marvin(Betty) Wood of Wellsville.
