Clyde A Bracken, 83, of Almond passed away Wednesday (April 1, 2009) at McAuleyManor.
Born in Belsamo,PA, January 5, 1926, the son of Thomas and Hazel WykeBracken, he had resided in Almond all his life. Clydeserved in the US Navy, and had worked at Corbin Wood Products, and laterretired from the former SKF of Hornell. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, andsnowmobiling.
He was predeceased by his parents and grandson AndrewMarlatt.
He is survived by wife Hazel Cotton Bracken whom he marriedMarch 16, 1946, a daughter Judy (George) Marlatt of Almond, 2 sons Stephen(Theresa) Bracken of Almond, Michael(Marianne) Bracken of Almond, 7grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren brother in law Joe & Pat Cotton,sister in law Marilyn Cotton, and several nieces, and nephews.
The family will be present 4-6PMSaturday,April 4, 2009, at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home,
354 Canisteo St, Hornell,where a private Funeral services will be held with the Rev. Steve Dygertofficiating.
