Clayton L. Toombs, 85, formerly of Fremont, passed away Tuesday (December 4, 2007) at McAuleyManor, .
Born in Gold, PA, July 1, 1922, the son of Orland and Martha Burtron Toombs, he had resided in this area since1968. He had been employed as a watchmaker most all his life, most recently atthe former McHenry's in Hornell.
He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Alice BuchananToombs in 1996, his son, Terry Toombs in 2005, as well as 2 greatgrandchildren, Cassie Cummings and Login Shinebarger.
He is survived by 3 daughters, Sharon (Larry) Cummings ofBelmont, Janice (Terry) Sanford of Kingston, Tennessee, Mary (Ray) Shinebargerof Fremont, Daughter-in-law, Doll Toombs of Enola PA., 2 sisters Freda Rude ofRochester, and Donna Blackman of Aurora, NC, 10 grandchildren and several greatgrandchildren, nieces & nephews.
