21 Cottage Ave.,passed away Tuesday (August2, 2005) at her home.
Born in Buffalo, March 5, 1933, the daughter of Georgeand Pauline Turkington Norton, she had resided in Hammondsport and Avoca in her early life,and the past 55 years in Hornell. She was a graduate of Avoca Central School, and had beenemployed at the former Marion Rohr in Hornell.
She is survived by herhusband, Glenn Travis whom she married Sept.2, 1950. 3 daughters, Pamela (Dale Woodworth) Kerr of Cameron Mills,Lynn (Eagle) Persavage of SC, Robin (Neal) Burley ofArkport; 5 sons, John (Jeanne) Travis of Hornell, Richard Travis of Hornell,Charles Travis of AZ, Kenneth(Rhonda) Travis of Bath, James Travis ofHornell ; 3 brothers, Harold (Elveretta) Norton ofBath, Robert (Luanne) Norton of Bath, George (Enola) Norton of Canisteo,several grand and great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews.

The family will be present to receive friends from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday at the Bender-Brown& Powers Funeral Home, 354 CanisteoSt., Hornell where funeralservices will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM,Rev. Donald Maynard officiating. Burial will be in Hornell Rural Cemetery.
