Christine L. Spencer, 50, of Hart St., passed away Wednesday Evening (November 11, 2015) at St. James Mercy Hospital surrounded by her family.



Born in North Hornell, April 25, 1965, the daughter of Delmar and Margaret Stephens Carson, she had resided in Hornell all her life. Christine took great pride in her work as a Data Manager at the St. James Cancer Center in Hornell. She loved her grandchildren, camping, vacations especially cruises, and family picnics and outings.



She was predeceased by her parents.



She is survived by her loving husband David Spencer of Hornell, two sons, Michael (Ashley) Spencer and Daniel (Noelle) Spencer, both of Hornell, one brother, Stephen (Christine) Carson of Hornell, three sisters, Kathleen (Scott) Woodworth, Michelle (Matt) Ormsby, and Eva (Ray) Hoffman all of Hornell, two step-sisters, Melodie (Ron) Taylor and Debbie Westervelt, six step-brothers, Richard (Mary Ann) Carson, Delmar J. (Barbara) Carson, John (Katie) Carson, William Carson, Mike (Jennie) Carson, and Rod Carson, one Aunt, Judith Adams of Hornell, two Uncles, Kenneth Stephens of Hornell and Gerald (Karen) Stephens of Florida, two granddaughters, Evelynn and Ava, brother-in-law, Ronald Spencer of Hornell, sister-in-law, Rollene (Robert) Duffy of Hornell, Special Friends and extended family, Cathy(Joel) Gilman, Heidi Margeson, Jeni Cook, Jen (Chad) Bixby and Kim (Steve) Hill, John Shaut, Kim (Kelly) Margeson, Lindsie Haynes, Barb Shaut, Julia Shaut, Steve (Deb) Shaut, Chris (Jason) Day and boys.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday (November 21, 2015) at 3Pm at the United Methodist Church of Hornell, Webbs Crossing Rd. Hornell, NY 14843, Rev. Lenny Fuller officiating. The family would like to honor Christine's courageous fight with breast cancer and request those in attendance to wear pink attire.



In lieu of flowers friends may make memorial contributions to the Cancer Services Program of Steuben County % St. James Mercy Hospital, 411 Canisteo St. Hornell, NY 14843.
