Cheri L. Hughes, 49, of Willis Rd., passed away Monday (February 27, 2017) at home.
Born in Cheektowaga, NY, September 23, 1967, the daughter of Leonard and Erma Snyder Harrington, she had resided in Hornell and Howard areas her whole life. Cheri enjoyed reading, watching the "Walking Dead", and listening to oldies music. She was always there for anyone, no matter what the circumstance. She was a CNA at the Taylor Health Center where she enjoyed helping the elderly. Cheri will be remembered most for the way she loved her family, she was a great mother and wife. Cheri loved to spend time with her grandchildren and her dogs. She was truly loved by all.
She was predeceased by her parents, a son Joshua Leonard Hughes and a brother-in-law Joseph Ryan.
She is survived by her husband David Hughes to whom she was married in 1997, 3 sons, Cody (Aleshea) Howland of Hornell, Adam Hughes of Bath and Jack Hughes of Howard, 2 daughters, Jamie (Steve) Houghtailing of Greenwood and Kaitlin Hughes of Hornell, 1 brother, Herb (Sue Laffler) Barber II, 2 sisters, Renee (Larry Plank) Souder and Deanna (Tom) Derk, 7 grandchildren, 5 sisters-in-law, Amy (Tim) Button, Pamela Ryan, Christina (Jason) Stewart, Kathy Parsons and Angela (William) Plank, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
