Charles A. Youngdale,72, of

66 Platt Street,passed away Wednesday (March9, 2005) at St. James Hospital.



Born in Utica, August 28, 1932, the sonof Francis and Erma Jean Gibbs Youngdale,he had resided in Hornell since 1979.He had been employed by the Chicago Pneumatic in Utica, and later, in Inventory Control at theformer SKF Industries in Hornell. Hewas a member ofEvening Star Lodge # 44 F & AMand served as master from 1994 to 1995.He is currently a member of HornellsvilleLodge #44 F & AM of Hornell. Chuckwill be remembered for his love of bowling and camping.



He was predeceased by hissister, Erma Jean Liebing



He is survived by his wife, Joan Carroll Youngdalewhom he married on January23, 1960, 2 daughters, Joanne (Glenn) Schragerof Oakland Park, Fla, and Carroll ( Gary) Clark of Hornell.



The family will be present to receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8PM Saturday, at the Bender-Brown &Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St.,Hornell where a Masonic Memorial Servicewill be held at 7: 30 PM followed by afuneral service at 8 :00 PM. Rev.Beth Kottemann will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
