Charles F "Chub" . Lockwood, 92, of 83 Main Street was hatched on July 31, 1921, attached on October 17, 1943 with his marriage to the former Marilyn MacMichael, and dispatched on July 6, 2014 after a short stay at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Bath.



Born in North Hornell, the son of Charles F. and Amelia Mae Rogers Lockwood Sr., he had resided in Almond since 1950.Chub had served his country as a member of the United States Navy from 1942-1945. He had been employed as an engineer for the former Erie and Erie Lakawanna Railroads as well as Conrail prior to his retirement in 1981 after 39 ½ years of service. He was a member of the Almond Union of Churches, the Almond 20th Century Club, the Almond Historical Society and a former member of the Almond Fire Department.



He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Marilyn in 1997 and his sister, Jean Ward,



He is survived by his sons, Philip (Rochelle) Lockwood of Mass., David Lockwood of Pennsylvania, and William (Diane) Lockwood of Almond, 3 grandsons, Jared Lockwood, Matthew Lockwood and Dustin Kinney, one grand daughter, Amelia Mae Lockwood and 2 great grandchildren.

Honoring Chub's wishes there will be no calling hours or services. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Almond.
