Catherine I. Cone, 24, of 98 Crosby St., passed away Wednesday (June 29, 2016) at the Wilmot Cancer Center at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester following a long, courageous battle with cancer,
Born in Virginia Beach, VA, April 18, 1992, the daughter of Keith and Holly (Bell) Cone, she had resided in Hornell since 1997. Catherine was a graduate of Hornell Senior High School, Class of 2010, and was a proud member of the Cheerleading Squad. She was a member of the Hornell VFW. Catherine enjoyed many things especially time spent with her children. She was loved not only by her family and friends, but the entire community.
She was predeceased by her Maternal grandparents; Ann and James Bell, her paternal grandparents; Pauline and Gary Cone, her maternal great grandparents; George and Mabel Rhode as well as her paternal great grandparents; Paul and Catherine Cone.
She is survived by her parents; Keith and Holly Cone of Hornell, her daughter; Aliyah Cone age 7 and her son; Cole Evingham age 5, her fiance´; Josh Evingham of Hornell, her brother, Keith Cone, Stationed in Guam with the United States Navy, and her two sisters, Christina Ritenour and Cynthia Ritenour both of Hornell.

The family will be present to receive friends on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, from 2PM-4PM and 6PM-8PM at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell. a service celebrating Catherine's life will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Charles Robords will officiate. Burial will be in Hornell Rural Cemetery.
A Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established and friends wishing, may send contributions in her memory to: The Catherine Cone Memorial Scholarship Fund, % District 6 Federal Credit Union, 107 Broadway, Hornell, NY 14843. Contribution envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
