Carol C. Trowbridge

Carol C. Trowbridge, 85 of Second Street, passed away peacefully Tuesday (Jan. 9, 2024) at her home.
Born in Canisteo, December 22, 1938, she had resided in the Village all her life. She was a graduate of Canisteo Central School and had been employed at the former Loohn’s Cleaners and retired as a nurses’s aide at the former McAuley Manor in North Hornell.
She was predeceased by her first husband, James Hallett Jr. in 1960, her parents Elwin and Vivian VanZile Campbell, her second husband, Kenneth Trowbridge two sons, Robert Trowbridge in 1998 and Donald Charles Trowbridge in 2014. She was also predeceased by her brother Vernon VanZile in 1958, and her step-father, Paul Smith.
Surviving are her son, Vernon Hallett of Canisteo, and her grand daughter Jessica (Derek) Kimball of Canisteo.
Family and friends may call at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home in Canisteo on Saturday (Jan. 13, 2024) from 1 PM until 3 PM where funeral services will follow at 3PM with Pastor Daniel Todd officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Canisteo.
