Bruce Allan Davison, 68, of 12 Apple Way, passed away unexpectedly on Monday (November 5, 2018) at his home.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, April 12, 1950, the son of Earl and Margaret (VanGelder) Davison, he had resided in Arkport most his adult life. After High School, he joined the US Army, out of Ft. Bragg and served as a Paratrooper Special Forces 5th Regimen. Bruce had also worked for Stern & Stern Textiles, and was a member of the Hornell VFW, Arkport Legion, Hornell Association, and a regular guest at the South Side Tavern. His hobbies included listening to Elvis, and watching old Christmas movies, Western's and Sci-Fi.
He was predeceased by his parents.
He is survived by his sister Vicki Mastin of Arkport, his adopted son Matt Testani, 12 children, his foster siblings Bonnie VanScooter of Hornell, Lisa (Paul) Hoad of S.C., Tina Simpson of Kanona, Liz Ann (Mike) Wilden of S.C., several grand and great grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, and his baby girl dog "Peanut".
An Irish Wake and celebration of life will be held at the Southside Tavern 312 Canisteo Street in Hornell on Saturday (November 10, 2018) at 12:00 noon.
