Brent A. Beyea, 78, of East Elm Street, passed away Saturday (April 11, 2020) at UR St James Hospital, after a battle with Covid 19.
He was born in Hornell, NY on January 17, 1942 to Robert F. and Mildred (Preston) Beyea. He was a lifelong area resident, graduating from Hornell High School, and had attened the College of Ceramics at Alfred University. Brent worked at the Evening Tribune as a press operator, and retired from the Erie/Conrail Railroad as a train dispatcher. He was a member of the BPOE #364 in Hornell, the Hornell Association, and was a booster member of the Hornell VFW.
He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Raymond Beyea, and his son Donald Beyea on July 9, 1997.
He is survived by his wife Penny Beyea of Kingman, Arizona, 3 half sisters Robin Davis, Melody Burdick, Kelly Rawleigh, and 2 half brothers Robert Beyea, and David Beyea.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home in Hornell. Burial will be at Rural Cemetery in Hornell. It was Brent’s wishes to have no services.
