Beverly J. Rohalla, 85, a longtime resident of the Hornell Gardens, formerly of 178 East Avenue, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 7, 2015.
Born in Hornell, September 2, 1929, the daughter of Eldyn and Laura (Rail) Lonsberry, she was a lifelong area resident. She had worked for several years as a cook for a Alfred University Fraternity. Beverly enjoyed people, camping, traveling, country music, baseball especially the New York Yankees, but most of all her family.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Charles A. Rohalla on August 12, 1996, whom she married on April 8, 1950, an infant son Stephen Charles Rohalla, a sister Lorraine Spicer, a brother Bud Lonsberry.
She is survived by 3 daughters Diane (Fred) McLane of Springfield, OH, Paulette (Ken) Almeter of Almond, Debra (Doug) Jaeger of Thurmont, MD, a brother Victor Lonsberry of Florida, 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, a sister in law Trudy Lonsberry, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will be present to receive friends from 7-9pm on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo Street, Hornell. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canisteo.
