Betty M. Lowe, 69, of Arlington Place, passed away Thursday (February 17, 2011) at Rochester General Hospital, following a short illness.
Born in North Hornell, August 4, 1941, the daughter of Gerald and Dorothy (Babcock) Bartoo, she had resided in Hornell all her life. Betty married Chester T. Lowe Sr. on July 10, 1969 and worked as a custodian for 15 years for the Hornell City School District.
She was predeceased by her father as well as her husband..
She is survived by her mother, one daughter, Margaret (Alan) Simchick of Johnsonburg, PA, two sons, Thomas W. (Fabi) Lowe of Chicago IL and Chester T. Lowe of Hornell, one grandson, Damen J. Ordway of Johnsonburg, PA, two sisters.

Honoring Betty's wishes there will be no calling hours. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Canaseraga Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home of Hornell.
