Betty J. Kellogg, 83, of 441 Whitney Valley Heights, passed awayWednesday (May 28, 2008)at McAuley Manor following a long battle with cancer.
Born in Hornell, October 25, 1924, the daughter of Floyd and Dora Bickford Martin, she had spent her early life inHornell before moving to Almond in 1942. Betty was a graduate of the Hornell High Schoolclass of 1942 and had worked for several years at the former Kellogg's CountryStore in Almond. She was a member of theAlmond Union Church and the Almond Historical Society. Betty loved being withher family who will miss her very much.
She was predeceased by her parents, one son; Leslie G.Kellogg on April 11, 1996,and two sisters; Doris Harter and HelenHarter.
She is survived by her husband Wayne Kellogg whom shemarried on March 28, 1942, one son; Gary (Mary Lou) Kellogg of Bracey VA, two daughters; Cindy(A.J.) Neville of Woodbridge VA and Lucille (Ron) George of Almond, onedaughter-in-law; Jean (Floyd) Pissanos of Hornell, one sister; WinifredMcCollumn of Hornell, six grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, several niecesand nephews.
The family will be present to receive friends from 2-4PM & 7-9PM Friday at the Bender - Brown & Powers FuneralHome,
354 Canisteo St,Hornell where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Steve Dygertofficiating. Burial will be in Almond Woodlawn Cemetery.
