Betty Spring Brown, formerly of Route 244, Belmont passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2010, surrounded by her children, and grandchildren in her home in West Almond from a massive aneurysm.



She was born on May 20, 1926 to Reginald "Rex" and Violet Baker Spring in Cuba, NY.



Betty was well known for her beautiful garden on Route 244, her vast knowledge of herbs, birds and her greatest joy preserving the produce she grew. She enjoyed creating and giving away the most unique felt ornaments, which took hours of sewing beads and sequins, each year they got better. She possessed a unique perception on life that her family is proud of, and she will be greatly missed by those whose life she touched.



She was predeceased by her husband Clarence Paul Brown, and her brother Paul R Spring.



She is survived by 2 daughters Paula (Jerry) Van Dyke of Belmont, Joy Lindeman Stuart of Almond, 4 sons Steve, Jack, Rex and Josh Brown, grandchildren Tre' (Lisa), David (Miranda), Jason (Erika), Mike (Cammi) VanDyke, Elizabeth (Mark) Rice, Jennifer (John) Lombardo, Erok (Chelsea) VanDyke, Titus, Christy and Tim Brown, Joshua Paul and Melissa Brown and Jamie and Christopher Stuart. She was also very proud to be great grandma to 24 great grandchildren and also surviving her sister Harriet Spring Cleveland, 1 niece and 3 nephews of Tuscon.



Her burial will private on Monday with her family requesting that all who knew and loved Betty celebrate her joy of life with them on May 30, 2010 at her daughter Paula's house. A reminder will be printed in May.
