Betty L. Ake, 63, formerly of Church Street Court, passed away Monday (September 22, 2008) at St. James Hospital.



Born in Avoca, August 23, 1945, thedaughter of Milton and Alice VincentStoddard, she had resided in Hornellsince about 1974. She had been employed at the former Dyco Electronics inHornell as well as Burger King. She wasa member of the Red Hats while residing at the Hornell Gardensand an avid bingo player.



She was predeceased by her parents, and one brother, DonaldStoddard .



She is survived by 5 sons- Timothy (Maria Staley) Stoddardof Cohocton, Joseph (Lori) Ake Jr of Texas, Scott Ake of Canisteo, Robert(Elizabeth) Ake of Canisteo and Arthur (Ania) Ake of Texas, 2 sisters, Linda(Arthur) Stuck of Alfred and Lynn (Earl Wolfanger) Lenhart of Almond, 3brothers, Neil Stoddard, William Stoddard and James Stoddard all of Hornell, 9Grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

354 Canisteo St, Hornell where funeralservices will be held at 1:00 PM, Deacon Robert McCormickofficiating. Burial will be in Hornell Rural Cemetery.
