Beryl Raner Jones, 94, formerly of North Street, passed away Tuesday (June 9, 2015) at McAuley Manor where she had resided the past 3 years.



Born in Auburn, NY, February 9, 1921, the daughter of George and Eliza Mae Gilfus Amerman, she had resided in Auburn area all her life prior to moving to Almond in 1978. She later relocated to Canisteo.



While in Auburn, Beryl had been employed as a floor manager for Auburn Leather Crafters. She was a member of the Almond Union of Churches, RSVP where she was honored for over 4000 hours of volunteering in 2004, an active member of the Buena Vista, Canisteo and Almond Senior Citizens , the Almond Historical Society, an active participant in ACCESS-Medicare, and a long time volunteer in House of Concern in Seneca Falls.



She was predeceased by her parents, her husbands, Harold Raner in 2002, and Leo Jones in 2012.



She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (John) Goldian of Middlebury Center, Pennsylvania, two step-daughters, Donna Jones Morse of Kentucky, and Diana Jones (Roger) Parulski of Bath, 2 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, four step great grandchildren and four step-great great grandchildren.

The family will be present to receive friends at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell on Sunday from 4 PM until 6 PM where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Almond.
