Beatrice L. Miller, 89, of 1190 Webbs Crossing Road, passed away Wednesday (January 20, 2010) in Dade City Florida following a brief illness.
Born in Hornell, September 19, 1920, the daughter of Oley and Anna Cornue Doty, she was a graduate of Hornell High School and had resided in Savona prior to moving to Howard with her husband where they operated a dairy farm for many years. Following his death, she returned to Hornell.
Bea was a member of the Hornell Bible Church as well as the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Zephyrhills, Florida.
She was predeceased by her husband, Orville E. Miller in 1990, her son Orville "Sam" Miller Jr. in 1996, as well as one Grandson Thomas Mattoon.
She is survived by 2 daughters, M. Suzanne (Donald) Mattoon of North Carolina, Nancy (Lyle) Nye of Auburn, 2 sons, Ronald (Beverly) Miller and Jerry Miller both of Howard, 2 sisters, Betty Ferry of Lindley and Ruth Stamillo of Keuka Lake, and 3 brothers, Howard, and J. Raymond Doty of Hornell and Oley Doty Jr. of North Carolina, 7 Grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces & nephews.
