Alfred/Warsaw
Beatrice E. Palmiter, was born on June 7, 1928 to Sherman and Edith Stuck in the town of Ward. She joined her brothers Everett Stuck, Victor Stuck, and her sister Bernice Dick. They lived in Alfred Station most of their lives.
When she got older she met this young man Clinton L. Palmiter who became her husband on April 24, 1948 in Alfred Station, whom she would've been married to for 67 years. He passed away on November 10, 2008.
She had 3 daughters: Joyce (Dean) Plaisted of Warsaw, Ruth (Kent) McCollough of Andover, and Jayne Palmiter of Andover, 4 grandsons Clinton (Gretchen) Plaisted, Steven (Melissa) Nolan, Craig (Christina) Plaisted, Thomas King, 2 granddaughters Christine (Jeffrey) Kessler, and Clara King, she also has 3 great grandchildren Lauren Kessler, Micah Hosley, and John Plaisted, and a half brother Gerald Eichorn.
She loved to cook, travel, knitting, camping, but she loved her grandchildren most, trying to spend as much time with them as possible.
Bea retired from Alfred University as a cook, where she worked for over 20 years. She was also a member of the Alfred Rebekkah Lodge, and the Hornell Home Bureau.
She always had time for being mom, grandma, or if a friend needed something , but her main goal was a wife. She taught the importance of family. She was loved and will be greatly missed.
The family will be present on Thursday (July 2, 2015) from 5-7pm at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home 354 Canisteo St. Hornell, where a funeral service will take place at 7:00pm, with the Rev. Ken Chroniger officiating.
