Barbara J Jennings, 89, of
Park Circle, passed away peacefully Friday (January 19, 2007) at Jones Memorial Hospital.
Born in Granger, July 29, 1917, the daughterof Donovan and Leah James Piatt, she was a lifelong area resident, graduatedfrom the former Wilsonian Schooland attended Houghton College for a year. On Sept. 17, 1938, she marriedHerbert R Jennings, who predeceased her May 17, 2001. Barb worked for the Shawmut Railroad as aclerk and later for the Graham Tax Service. She was a lifelong member of the Angelica United Methodist Church, as well as amember of the Progress Club since 1946, the Ladies Home Bureau, the Katty Club and the Christian Women's Club.
Barb will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother,great grandmother and a friend to many.
Surviving are 4 daughters Dorothy "Dottie" (Duane) Graham ofAngelica, Nancy (Robert) Vossman of Burnet, TX, Bette(Almon) Yager of Henrietta,and Lisa (Terry) Hover of Almond, 5 sons Robert (Aleta)Jennings of Endicott, Donovan (Laurie) Jennings of Stroudsburg, PA, Richard(Bella) Jennings of Rochester, Ronald (Arleen) Jennings of Angelica, and Carl (Karel) Jennings of Hilton, a sister Dorothy Farnsworth ofMonroe WA, 3 brothers Bernard Piatt of Angelica, James (Edith) Piatt ofArkport, and Dean (Carol) Piatt of Kernersville, NC, 27 grandchildren and 35great grandchildren.
The family will be present 2-4 & 7-9PMFriday, January 26, 2007, at the Brown & PowersFuneral Home,
101 West Ave.,Angelica. Funeral services will be atthe Angelica United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 27, 2007at 2:00 PM, Rev. ErnestTracy officiating. Burial will be in Untilthe Day Dawn Cemetery.
