B. Corrine Backer, 75, of
29 East VanScoter St, passed away Monday (June 11, 2007) at St. James Hospital.
Born in Hornell, May 31, 1932, a daughter of Frank D. and Nina Mae Rogers O'Dell, she had resided in the Hornell area most of her life
She was a graduate of Hornell High School, class of 1950
Corrine had been employed as a waitress in many local restaurants as well as a stenographer for the Hornell Evening Tribune.
She will be remembered for her love of working in her flower garden and sewing.
Corrine was predeceased by a brother, Gerald O'Dell a son in law Joe Vetter and Granddaughter Sarah Vetter
She is survived by, 4 daughters: Judy (Jim) Coogan of Geneseo, Terri Vetter of Hornell, Patti (Phil) Schillaci of Geneva and Susie (Jim Gray) Baxter of Milton Ontario.
2 Sons: Ken ( Caroline ) Backer of Canisteo and Tim Backer of Rochester.
2 Sisters: Arlene F. O'Dell and Phyllis E. O'Dell of Hornell, one brother Russell D. O'Dell of Hornell.
13 Grand children, 1 Great Grand child, nieces, nephews and cousins.

354 Canisteo Street, where funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM, at the conclusion of calling hours with the Rev. George Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Arkport Cemetery
