Arthur E. Pelkey, 88, of State St., passed away Wednesday (July 5, 2017) at Elderwood At Hornell.
Born in Caribou, Maine, March 23, 1929, a son of Louis and Grace (Spooner) Pelkey, he had resided in Hornell the past 60 years. Arthur was employed by Wilson Foods out of Binghamton NY. On November 26, 1955 Arthur married the former Pamela Dickinson who predeceased him on January 30th, 2000.
He was predeceased by his parents, his wife; Pamela, a daughter; Mary Cheresnowsky, 6 brothers; William, Thomas, Leo, Ralph, Morris and Edward and 2 sisters; Mary Olmstead and Madeline Belanger.
He is survived by 1 son; Larry Pelkey of Hornell, 2 daughters; Charlene (Joseph) O'Connor and Sherry Pelkey both of Hornell, 3 grandchildren; Jill (Charles) Montanye, Sean (Erin) O'Connor and Kyle O'Connor and 4 great grandchildren; Jack Montanye, Hayden Zaparazynski, Colin O'Connor and Aria Ortega.
