Arthur M. Campfield, 98, of
7159 Hungry Hollow Rd.,passed away Monday (April20, 2009) at St. James Hospital.
Born in Hornell, February 7, 1911, the son of Daniel and Carolyn (Brining) Campfield, he had resided in the Hornell area all his life.He was a graduate of the Hornell High School and was aSuperintendent of Weaving for Stern & Stern Textiles before his retirementin 1976. Arthur was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hornell.
He was predeceased by his parents as well as his wifePhyllis in 2001.
He is survived by his son David ( Sharon) Campfieldof Lockport,one nephew, Martin Christensen of Hornell, seven grandchildren and fifteengreat grandchildren.
