Arlowine A. (Hadsell) Manhart, 86, of 968 State Route 21, passed away Friday (October 19, 2012) at her home.



Born in Hornell, February 25, 1926, the daughter of Sherman and Nettie (Plank) LaBarr, she was a lifelong area resident, graduating from Hornell High School. Arlowine had worked for Alfred State College in the cafeteria for many years, as well as working for the Hornell Gardens and the Wellsville Manor as a Nurses aide. Arlowine enjoyed baking, watching wrestling, taking long rides with her husband Milo, but mostly enjoying all of her family.



She was predeceased by her parents, 3 sons Clinton, Ronald and Milton Hadsell, her first husband Milton Hadsell in 1984, and all her brothers.



She is survived by her husband Milo Manhart whom she married on March 3, 1989, her daughters Shirley (Fred) Groves of Canisteo, Lisa (John) Ebner of Canisteo, 2 sons Russell (Lisa) Hadsell of Bath, Gary (Patty) Hadsell of Canisteo, a step daughter Joanne (Donald) Kenyon of SC, 4 step sons John (Mabel) Manhart Sr of Hornell, William Manhart of Syracuse, James Manhart of AZ, and Philip Manhart of Hornell, several grand ,great grand and great great grandchildren, 2 daughters in law Deborah Winters of Almond, and Rose Hadsell of Hornell, several nieces, and nephews.



The family will be present 2-4 & 7-9PM Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Gary Miles officiating. Burial will be in Almond Woodlawn Cemetery. A Luncheon will be held at the Hornell Moose Lodge immediately following services.
