April 27, 1960 – July 13, 2025
April M. Bapst passed away unexpectedly on July 13, 2025, leaving behind a deep emptiness in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Full of life, love, and wisdom, April was a woman of rare kindness a bright light in a world that desperately needs more like her. She was taken far too soon, with so much more to give.
April never met a stranger. Her warmth, compassion, and genuine care for others made everyone feel welcome in her presence. Whether it was lending a helping hand, sharing a word of encouragement, or offering one of her famous plant cuttings, she touched countless lives with her generous heart and open arms.
She had a deep love for the outdoors and felt most at peace surrounded by nature. Her passion for plants, herbs, and healthy living was more than a hobby, it was a calling. She was always experimenting, propagating, and nurturing new life from the soil. She delighted in sharing this passion with others, often gifting her creations and encouraging others to connect with the earth and its healing gifts.
Above all, April had a profound love for Yahuah. She never missed an opportunity to speak His Name or share His truth. Her faith was her anchor, and she lived to impart wisdom and truth to those she loved especially her family.
April was the proud and devoted mother of Ashlee Bigelow (and husband Tom), John Bapst (and wife Krista), and Betsie Bapst (and soulmate Andy), she spoke often of how proud she was of her children. Her greatest joy came from her role as a grandmother, and she adored her grandchildren: Hayley, Arianna, Jason, Lily, Ella, Eli, Elsie, Gracie, and Hunter.
She also cherished her large extended family, including Bill, Paige, Joel, Brittany, Derek, Dawson, Tiffany, Brooke, Kaii, Timmy, Baylor, Gunner, Hannah, Fallon, Harley, Sofie, Wyatt, Sammy, Taten, Axl, and many more whose lives she touched with her love.
Her best friend Renee remained by her side through all seasons of life—a true sister. Their bond was one of laughter, strength, and unwavering loyalty.
Though she is gone from this world, April’s legacy lives on in the gardens she nurtured, the lives she touched, and the family she so dearly loved. Her absence is felt deeply, but her love remains with us rooted in our hearts like the many plants she so lovingly tended.
She will be forever missed.
Forever loved.
Forever remembered.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday (July 21, 2025) at Until the Day Dawn Cemetery in Angelica at 11:00am.
