Obituary

Anthony Rodney Fountain, a loving husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather, great-grandfather, and loyal friend, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026, at the age of 77. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Anthony will be remembered for his kindness, strength, generosity, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. He touched the lives of many through his warm spirit, sense of humor, and willingness to help others. Whether spending time with family, sharing stories with friends, or offering a helping hand, Anthony made a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Fountain (Maynard); his sisters, Sandra Fountain and Dena Colburn; his brother, Michael Fryzel; his children, Tony Fountain and his wife, Ruth; Andrew Fountain and his wife, Paige; Jenny Lopez (Fountain) and her husband, Juan; and Kris Fountain and his wife, Amanda. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride throughout his life. In addition, he leaves behind many nurse aides who became like daughters to him.

Anthony was preceded in death by his father, Wilson Fountain; his stepmother, Myra Fountain; his mother, Anita Fryzel; his stepfather, David Fryzel; his sister, Linda Allen; his brother, Victor Fryzel; and his daughter, Juanita Fountain.

Anthony's memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His dying wish was to see all of his loved ones in the coming Paradise on Earth. - Luke 23:43

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the Canisteo Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1169 Airport Road, Hornell, NY 14843.

The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered support and condolences during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1169 Airport Road, Hornell, NY 14843.
